Event Details

InfraGard Nations Capital Members Alliance  (INCMA)  and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are excited to offer a tour and briefing November 2, 2010 of the reconstructed TWA Flight 800 wreckage.  TWA Flight 800, a Boeing 747, exploded and crashed in the Atlantic Ocean off Long Island shortly after take- off  from JFK Airport enroute to Paris on July 17, 1996 killing all 230 people on board.   It was widely speculated that the plane was brought down by a missile, however, NTSB later determined that the explosion was most likely due to a spark that ignited the fuel tank.   The reconstructed plane is now housed at the National Transportation Safety Board Training Center in Ashburn, Virginia and the NTSB has generously offered to provide a guided tour for InfraGard members and guests.

The event is open to the first 40 INCMA members and their guests who sign up.  There is a $10 fee to attend the event to cover light refreshments.  The tour will  take place from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.  Attendees will need to arrive by 12:45  to ensure a prompt and timely start.  Don't miss this interesting and rare opportunity to see a piece of aviation history!

The NTSB Training Center and is on the left side of the road as you head North and is after the George Washington Blvd intersection. It is a large, red-brick complex of two attached buildings. The address is 45065 Riverside Parkway, Ashburn, Virginia.tel: +15712233900
